And while the galaxy may be full of all sorts of exciting career paths, there'll always be someone who has to scrape the muck, hock the junk and hold it together when their idiot superiors screw things up big time. Some do so to engage in advanced scientific research, including testing the limits of the space time continuum to avoid public humiliation. Others come to trade goods they gathered from the far corners of the galaxy, like violent alien parasites. While others seeks to offer their services in defense of humanity, with limited success.
