We interview Comedian Cathy Boyd. She's a regular at Absolute and so so so funny. We talk about her four kids, her millions of brothers and sisters. She's a huge fan of Amy Schumer, Tina Fey, Maya Rudolf, and Rosanne.  She's a real up-and-comer in the comedy world and someone you have to see! 

Cathy got into comedy later in life, but she's been funny her entire life because she had to be. Her parents had  11 children.

Paul Bellini - Mouth Congress

Jen's former Second City Comedy Writing teacher Paul Bellini joins Mom's Are Not Funny to discuss his band Mouth Congress, which premiers March 5th at the Kingston Canadian Film Festival. It's about his band with Kids in the Hall's Scott Thompson that they started in the 80s. It was a first of its kind, a Gay Punk band (in the 80's when most people were still in the closet). 

He talks about his supportive mom, how she loved lying, his dutch neighbour and more. 

A long lover of all things comedy, Paul has been in the comedy world spanning four decades with great success on Canadian show's like Kids in the Hall and This Hour has 22 Minutes.

Fiona O'Brien - Hogtied and Gagged

Fiona got into comedy by writing jokes for a friend in Ireland. When she moved to Canada, she decided to start doing her jokes for herself.

She’s a mother of three. And a joy to be around.
She grew up in a family of strong and funny women that inspired her to see the humour in life. Her nana had 10 children, she golfed and drank whiskey all day long. She was hilarious.

He mom was wild, and took parenting into her own hands.

Steph Tolev is a stand up and sketch comedian from Toronto, Canada currently living in Los Angeles. She's wildly funny, and full of energy.  Steph has done the  prestigious Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal four times! She made her American TV debut on on Comedy Central part of Bill Burr’s show “The Ringers”. AND she was recently named one of Vultures “Comics You Should and Will Know” and one of Comedy Central’s “Up Next” comics to watch. She also has a Comedy Central web series that she co-wrote and co-stars called ” Steph & Deb” with comedian Deb Digiovanni.   Steph can also be seen in the Amazon show “Please Understand Me” produced by Sarah Silverman and was featured in season two of “Corporate” on Comedy Central.  Steph has won the Canadian Comedy Award for Best Female Stand up and was a finalist in Sirius XM’s next top comic.

Steph is a comedic force who has us laughing the entire time. She talks about Sarah Silverman and beautiful she is, her experience on Bill Burr's show, her Juno nomination and her mom.
