A health scare isn't going to stop me from the final episode before episode 300! AK and I talk about the 2014 movie Whiplash and how it makes us never ever want to learn a new skill. Too bad, I was so ready to put in the work too but oh well.

Laurel Hightower has a fantastic new book called "The Day of the Door" and to keep in line with last year, we tried to see if we could make it fit alongside an early 2000's Mel Gibson movie. This time we went with Chicken Run and Laurel absolutely did her homework on this assignment.

Podcast! Podcast! Podcast! There's a legacy sequel just around the corner and Kim has never seen Beetlejuice and Beetlejuice is amazing so there's three amazing reasons to do an episode about it!

Almost 20 years ago my friends and I came very close to walking out of the theatre during The Ring Two. Surely time has only been kind to this sequel right? ....right?

There's no better gift from the Easter Bunny than for the Britney Spears movie Crossroads to be widely available to watch for the first time in years! So once you're done the easter egg hunt, gather the family around and listen to OG Sam and I talk about it.

...But also probably don't because even though this movie is PG as hell, I'm pretty sure we still curse a whole lot.

This feels like EXACTLY the kind of episode we made this podcast for. A movie that we absolutely loved in 2004 is given a rewatch 20 years later and...well we have some things to say. Just like in the early days of this thing!

It has been almost 20 years since The Village seemed to completely divide audiences. I was not on the positive side in 2004. Kim has always been on that side. Time to finally settle this and see who has the objectively correct opinion.

Splash is turning 40...or actually just turned 40 yesterday...because Father Time is a cruel SOB and our own mortalities draw closer every day. So may as well enjoy our time with a breezy 80's comedy where Tom Hanks bones a mermaid!

It's time to continue taking Renee through the Star Wars stories and after the travesty that was the Holiday Special, it's a relief to upgrade to something that is merely "fine".
