Fantastic picture book focused on LGBTQ communities, history and movements. I recommend this book for middle or high school grade levels for Social Studies topics related to politics or human rights.

7 Generations Ends/Begins was published in 2010. It is a book that relates to the issues and realities that the First Nations of Canada deal with. I recommend using it in the grades 9-12 Social Studies and History classes. This book contains graphic illustrations and literature that may include physical and sexual abuse content.

Blackflies was published in 2017. It's a story about how a girl helps her family who are dealing with a black fly issue. I recommend using it in grades 1-6 Social Studies and Language Arts.

Home at Last was published in 2016. Its a story about family dynamics and LGBTQ makeups. I recommend using it in K-Gr. 3 for Language arts, Health, or Social Studies.
