Let me start by saying that happiness is your right! But it will not be automatic. Given the negative or unpleasant situations around you, you could be tempted to believe that happiness is reserved for some selected people. Meanwhile, Happiness is a Decision.

Happiness is your responsibility, it is described as a state of mind. I am not advocating that you deny the unpleasant situations or negative people around you, I am only suggesting that you make up your mind and decide to be happy no matter what.

You will have to choose between being happy and feeling sad. You are in control of your happiness, as such the situations or circumstances around you should not dictate your happiness. Now you see why I have tagged this episode, Happiness is a Decision - 3 Ways to Stay Happy No Matter What.

It is about what you want to experience. It is about you creating the feeling that you want to have. It is about you taking full control of your feeling. It it about you, making a choice to be HAPPY, No Matter What!

I shared 3 powerful keys to staying happy irrespective of the circumstances around you.

1. Define your values and live by them

2. Reprogram your mind and remove limiting beliefs hindering you from manifesting your inner greatness

3. Pursue purpose daily (do those things that advance you towards your purpose everyday)

Step out of that box

Welcome to Designed for Success Podcast.

This episode is titled Step out of that box'

There is a box keeping you small and limited. Perhaps your intention is to achieve greatness, but you realized that you find it difficult to do those things that will move you towards that dream of been great. This episode is aimed at empowering you to step out of that box and pursue your dream.

Your brain is wired in such a way that it tends to keep you safe and within what it feels is familiar based on your experiences. That is why each time you try to do something new, the brain will resist. 

This explains why you consistently remain within your confort zone (box), 'safe place' if you like. This place of comfort is the most dangerous place to be. Yes, it makes you feel comfortable, but it deprives you of the fulfillment that life offers.

Stepping out of your comfort zone implies that you do what you have purported to do despite the fear. It means stretching your immagination and unlocking your potential. It means facing your fears! It means doing it afraid, it means embracing the process, etc.

Step out of that box means that you are willing to pursue that dream and see it to fruiting. Give it your all and watch how you become the person you were created to be.

I shared some powerful nuggets on how you can step out of that box and start living the life you were created for.

Build Bridges, Not Walls

Welcome to Designed for Success Podcast

This episode is titled 'Build Bridges, Not Walls'

I grew up in the barracks (Northern Nigeria). My father was in the force, hence we lived in the barrack community for over 30 years.

Barrack in this part of the world is a community of different people (religion, ethnic, beliefs, etc). The insights I shared was inspired by the lessons I learnt from my beloved mother on how she built bridges, not walls.

Despite the difference in beliefs, culture, religion, etc, my mum was intentional in her quest to building bridges of peace, understanding, communication, etc with everyone that encountered her.

The bridges she built still serves us good till date. The lesson helped to shape my values around relationship with people.This has brought immense benefit to my life.

Here are some lessons that I shared;

1. You cannot run the race of life by yourself
2. You need people 
3. Define your values and be committed to adding value to other people
5. Understand your purpose for every relationship
5. Take every relationship seriously, there is a lesson therein

It is Meant to Change you

Welcome to Designed for Success Podcast

This episode is titled 'It is Meant to Change you'

Inspired by Fred Devito's quote 'if it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you' I have come to the realization that every challenge (whether big or small) is meant to change you.

Every challenge reveals your true self (strength and weakness) to you, it is a form of feedback that tells you about your current state (mindset, skillset, actionset, etc) and the need to upgrade. Man is in a constant process of growth, and challenges are one of live's natural process that brings about this growth (change).

Change also means Growth...

The reason it is a challenge is beacause at that particular point, you do not have what it takes to overcome the challenge, hence you feel stretched and some people feel overwhelmed by it.  But as you adapt a positive mindset and embrace the challenge, you will acquire the requisite skills to overcome and become a better person.

Real change happens in the process of you becoming a better person. A better person in this instance means an improved person from the previous you...

That challenge is meant to change you!

Don't Give Up

Welcome to Designed for Success Podcast.

My intention in this episode is to charge you not to give up! Hence the title 'Don't Give Up'

You are the LIGHT that the world needs. In the context of this episode, the world connotes your immediate family, community, society, place of work, relationships, etc.

In the course of your journey to illuminating your world, you will be confronted by diverse challenges and obstacles. Don't Give Up!

I want you to know that your mission is far greater than the challanges, let the end goal of your mission be your driving force. I mean, the fact that your world will be liberated, enligthened, empowered, happy, fulfilled, peaceful, etc should be your motivation. 

Talking about challenges, I need you to know that overcoming them makes you stronger and more prepared for the tasks ahead. The journey is a marathon and you are getting better and stronger by the day to deliever the value that you offer. This is what makes you a success, a leader, a change agent, a light bearer and a person of significance.

Don't Give Up!

Welcome to Designed for Success Podcast

This episode is titled 'How to Create your Own Motivation'

In the previous episode, I talked about moments when you will not feel motivated to act on your dream or goals. Thus leaving you frustrated.

Well, in this episode, I shared my thoughts, based on personal experience and how you can create your own motivation, rather than waiting until you feel like it. This is more of a follow up to the previous episode, titled 'Just Do It - Don't Rely on Motivation'

The nuggets I shared have been working for me and the most important aspect is that it keeps me on-course. I am optimistic that if you apply any of the concepts or a combination of them, depending on your personality type, you will create your own motivation and stay on-course until you achieve your goal(s).

Some of the nuggets I shared include;

1. Visualize your desired outcome 
2. Build a support system
3. Create a trigger that spurs you into action
4. Reward yourself for every milestone achieved
5. Create a condusive environment in your mind
6. Take it easy on yourself

Just Do It - Don't Rely on Motivation

Welcome to Designed for Success Podcast

This episode is titled 'Just Do It - Don't Rely on Motivation'

This is one of my favorite discussion points in personal transformation and personal growth related matters. One of the reason is because, I struggled with procrastination for a long time, such that I wasn't able to achieve my goals. Most times, I will be highly motivated during a conference, seminar, workshop, church service, etc. But as soon as I leave, it doesn't take more than 7 days and I am already back to my default mode.This state always left me frustrated.

Most times, I will wait until the mood comes, but I discovered, that once you are not in control of your mood, you will find it difficult to be in that state when you are inspired to pursue and achieve your goals in record time. This is because, you have to wait until you are motivated before you take action.

Most times, motivation doesn't come (you could be upset by your spouse, children, friends, job, economic), these are factors you cannot control. But you have given them the permission to dictate your mood. 

Note, you cannot pursue your goal when you are in a bad mood.

The solution...

Just do it!

I learnt this principle from John Maxwell, applied it and the rest is history.

I shared my thoughts and three (3) valuable steps that will help you adapt this concept of 'Just Do It' whether you are motivated or not. It will work for you.

This principle can be applied in every area of your personal and professional life. 

I am confident that you will gain immense value from this episode.
