Edu Inc is a registered, affordable, IEB Private School in Fourways South Africa teaching grades 4 to 12 with 10 children per class. Choosing the right school for your child is one of the biggest responsibilites of being a parent. With our very small classes, each child is assured personal attention from our qualified and caring teachers. As a mainstream IEB GDE-registered and Umalusi-accredited school, our Matrics write the same exams as the other private IEB schools you are familiar with. We’re extremely proud of our 100% pass rate and look forward to answering any questions you may have about Edu Inc. In this conversation between Gershom Aitchison (Edu Inc Headmaster) and two mothers Nicola and Jo who have children on the autism spectrum. Nicola's son is 19 and was diagnosed around age 7. Jo's son is 13 and was diagnosed around age 4.
They discussed their journeys raising neurodiverse children, including the challenges with getting diagnoses, finding supportive school environments, dealing with public perceptions and stigma, and pivotal moments of seeing their children's empathy and potential.
Key themes included the importance of early intervention and consistent therapy, being a tireless advocate for your child, finding other parents to connect with, and having no expectations except giving your child the tools to be a decent human being.
They acknowledge there is no single recipe for success given each child's uniqueness.

While it is always sad to say goodbye to Edu Inc Team members, it is also a fantastic opportunity to welcome new energy and continue growing the exceptional team of people who work with our children everyday.

Our new additions are:

Matt Matthyser - Honours degree & Higher DIploma in Education;

Swasthi Maharaj - BSc Genetics and Microbiology;

Angus Lowe - Honours degree in Educational Management, Law and Policy (currently busy with Masters in Educational Management and Leadership); and

Masedi Mmonatau - Masters in Chemical Engineering.
