Welcome to the final podcast for this year. In this podcast I was asked to do a presentation for ‘Vibrant Midlife’ on their Midlife matters series regarding money. However you don’t have to be between the ages of 40-65 to get some real nuggets from this podcast. Let me take you through 5 steps to help you on your financial journey of Acknowledgement, Acceptance, What do you want? Achieve it, and while doing all of that! Enjoy the journey. Merry Christmas to all and for the New Year remember, money is a tool, use it wisely!

With the threat or loss of jobs, don't feel guilty if you cannot afford to buy children the presents that they really want or that you THINK! they want. Having conversations with children will prepare them for lifes challenges but you might also be surprised by their resilience and what REALLY matters to them.

I asked 2 of my nieces to ask 3 simple questions to their children Stefan & Sapphire aged 6, and Kimiko aged 8. Their responses might surprise you. What is important is that you get comfortable having aged appropriate conversations with your children about money, without feeling guilty!

With the current economic climate and feelings of despair amongst many, this episode reminds us of a few of the difficulties faced by the Windrush Generation and how their faith, strength and tenacity got them through some really difficult times.  It is also an encouragement to listen to their stories with the hope that we too can get through the tough times.
