Roberto and Smeeta are joined on this episode by Philip Kam Tao Li and Kamyar Kalantar-Zadeh co-chairs of World Kidney Day (WKD) Steering Committee. This year the Steering Committee has declared 2021 "Living well with Kidney Disease". Their conversation covers the goals of WKD to both increase education and awareness about effective symptom management and patient empowerment, with the ultimate goal of encouraging life participation.
