Welcome to MU, future scarers - Allow us to take you on a guided tour through campus life in the monster world!  We're going back to where the Sulley and Mike power couple started and it wasn’t always smooth sailing.  We learn about the value of teamwork, friendship, and the tell-tale battle between those with natural talent and those who have to work harder to reach their dreams.  While hard work doesn’t always lead to what you want the most, doors will open to many opportunities that play to your natural strengths and by combining those individual strengths with others, greatness can be achieved!  Grab your pencils and join us as we take on the Scare Games and enroll in Monsters University!

Welcome back listeners!  We are setting off Season 3 with a fan favorite Pixar Pack!  In the monster world, we scare we cause we care... and because we need to record some episodes to play catch up.  Like Woody and Buzz, Mike and Sully are the lovable duo tasked with sending a so called "toxic" human child back to her bedroom -  good luck (am I right, parents??)  Anyway, this movie is a fun rollercoaster of emotions and we’re glad to be back with the Pack.  Clock in, do your paperwork, grab a card key, and join us as we get banished to the Himalayas in Disney - Pixar's creative 2003 hit, Monsters Inc!

Guess who's back?  That's right - after an extended hiatus, the SequelMen are back in action and ready to cover cinema's most famous (or obscure) franchises!  This episode will serve as a brief refresher, taking stock of the franchises we've covered so far, explaining what we've been up to for the past month, and filling listeners in on where we're headed with the show moving forward into Season 4.  Film school memories, extended sidebars, and lotsa laughs are shared in this special edition of SequelMen, so be sure to tune in - Thanks for sticking around and enjoy!    

Light'em up!  At long last, we have the conclusion og the Ghostbusters franchise and what an epic one it was.  Laugh, cry, scream - this film does it all.  Paul Rudd stars as a supporting character that is first billed while an up and coming child star shines as the granddaughter of Egon Spengler!  Have we seen this before?  After the popular failure of the 2016 reboot, we are presented an absolute gift of a legacy sequel filled with heart, humor, and a story that manages to blend modern ideas of with representation with a narrative that feels natural, courtesy of director Jason Reitman (son of the director of the original, Ivan Reitman).  With a brand new recap wrap, FIN score, and another franchise reveal to end the year, suit up and look alive as we defend the farm in Ghostbusters: Afterlife!

Is it a reboot?  A sequel?  Both??  A new generation of Ghostbusters joins the paranormal struggle against ghosts run amok in this new installment, featuring some of the greatest comedic women of the last decade.  Has time vindicated the film of the harsh, arguably unfair hatred it received upon release?  Have audiences answered the call or his this franchise been put on hold?  We invite you to join us as we tackle the good and the bad of a re-sequel packed with nostalgic references, origin stories, plot retreads, bite-sized cameos, and awesome, new ghost-hunting gadgets in the much-maligned Ghostbusters 2016 (or Answer The Call as it is now known)!

They were called... and then it dropped.  Years after the Manhattan Crossrip of 1984, the Ghostbusters are now out of business and everyone has gone their separate ways.  But fear not - a painting and some mysterious pink slime will resurrect their careers!  With the power of "mood slime" and the good will of New Yorkers, the Busters are back to save the city and this time, they have the help of an all-time American icon.  No, not Kid Rock… Lady Liberty!  Grab your slime blowers and bring those positive vibes as we fend off another round of spooks, specters and ghosts with this 1989 sequel, Ghostbusters II!

Who ya gonna call?  We're going back to the 80’s where comedy peaked and the relational/romantic dynamic between men/women was.... problematic.  We ain’t afraid of no ghosts, and the people in this movie aren’t either - with several genres blended together, it manages to never take itself too seriously while also maintaining a sense of action and fun!  Except if your name is Spencer King, then it acts as a natural sleep inducer.  Grab your proton packs and get ready to roast some Stay Puft marshmallow men as we take on Gozer the Gozarian in the sleeper1984 hit adventure/horror/sci-fi comedy, Ghostbusters!

The Witches are back!  Not that we asked them to be or anything, but here they are!  If you’re planning on banking in your nostalgia coins, don’t waste all your money.  Think Hocus Pocus, but with teenage girls, Walgreens, and a similar plot with a little more emotional weight at the end.  Tonight, we've brewed up some scores, a new Spencer Recap original, and yet another franchise reveal, so grab your BooooOOOOOOOOOOKs and join us in Salem on this All Hallows Eve us as we put another spell on you (one way or another) with the long-awaited legacy sequel, Hocus Pocus 2!

Salem is a hell of a place - emphasis on the “Hell" since one dumb, teenage virgin lights the BFC (that's the black flame candle).  For this one, bask in the wave of nostalgia and just enjoy this classic 90’s Halloween tale.  We meet a talking cat, three evil witches that really aren’t all that evil, and some hormonal, angsty teens, which altogether forms a solid recipe for any Halloween movie!  Gather your oil of boil and dead man's nose (or was it toes?) and join us in brewing a wicked commentary on Disney's Hocus Pocus!

Let's go Wildcats!  It's now or never for our favorite band of East High students as they struggle to navigate a senior year filled with relationship struggles, self-doubt over an uncertain future, and pulling off a stellar end of the year musical focused on... themselves.  Bigger is better and better is bigger as the HSM franchise makes the leap from television to cinemas.  We're joined by our special recurring guest, Rachel Popp, to discuss the film's strengths and weaknesses - from the improvements in set design and a cinematic look brought to you by an increased budget, to our favorite (or not so favorite) musical numbers.  With film rankings, a new Recap Song, and a bewitching franchise reveal, we invite you to join us as we celebrate the finale of the High School Musical film franchise with High School Musical 3: Senior Year!
