Is it still a 'preference' when you date someone based on skin tone before getting to know them? Kristen (Creator of 'What Are You Growing Thru') joined me for a chat on Colorism and Texturism within the Black community. We also spoke about the 'Good Hair' debate, Brainwash mentality, and Anti-black rhetoric. 

So often as Black Woman, we are held to a higher standard when it comes to our appearances, ESPECIALLY with our hair. Wear a bonnet? Ghetto. Wear your natural hair? Some people question whether it's ‘done’ or not. And if you are Black, and you don’t have coarse hair, people question your Blackness and assume you are 'mixed'.
