Episode 22: Felix Gonzalez-Torres

52m · Published 19 Feb 16:00

Happy belated Valentine's Day! This week I dive into the life and work of one of my favorite artists, Felix Gonzalez-Torres.  If you are able to, please consider giving money to Texas Mutual Aid groups to help folks who are struggling during this crisis.  You can donate to help inmates giving money to the Texas Bail Project, Houston Bail Fund, and the Community Bail Fund of North Texas. Try to help offset the costs of motel rooms for houseless folks in Texas by giving money to The Net FW. You can donate money to mutual aid funds like @feedthepeopledallas, @mutualaidhou, @austinmutualaidhotels, and @pmgmutualaid. This is a serious issue and is not a joke. Marginalized people do not deserve to die just because of where they live.

Episode 16: Animal Crossing New Horizons has the Best Video Game Museum

48m · Published 15 Jan 14:00
Last week was not great, so please accept my offering of a late episode/no episode for last week. Anyway! This episode I begin my hopefully ongoing discussion of museum representation in video games and other media. I wanted to finally talk about video games and art, and I thought this would be a good starting point. I do talk about the other Animal Crossing games but my focus is on New Horizons with good reason.
