Esther has worked as an editorial intern for the Wine Enthusiast and assistant editor for the Wine Spectator before landing her role as the wine critic for the San Francisco Chronicle. She primarily writes about California wines, and won an award for best writing by the Association of Food Journalists in 2017. She enjoys a well deserved reputation that allows her access behind the scenes into the world of American wine.

Join us as we sit around the dinner table at the Kitsch Wines property. In this episode, winemaker Grant Biggs cooks us dinner and we are joined by Katie Truscott, tasting room manager for Kitsch, plus Ria Kitsch, who is one of the founders of Kitsch Wines.

This episode features another podcast opportunity from my recent trip to the Okanagan region, as we also highlighted in the last episode with Kelsey Rufiange from Echo Bay Vineyard.

In this episode we feature my stop in Kelowna to visit my friends at Kitsch Wines. We were joined for part of the podcast by Ria Kitsch, one of the owners of the winery.

Kelsey Rufiange-Episode 28 | Echo Bay Vineyard | Wine Talk

Kelsey Rufiange is a relatively new winemaker in the diverse Okanagan wine landscape. Her family planted vines on their property in 2013, and over the last few years, she took overall of the grape growing and wine making.She studied oenology and viticulture at Lincoln University and worked vintages in New Zealand, California and Australia. Their wines feature limited SO2 usage, relying on minimal intervention, natural fermentation with organic growing and biodynamic practices.

This episode features my recent trip to the Okanagan region, with my stop in OK Falls to visit Kelsey and taste some of her wine. We also got to experience barrel samples from some of her up and coming wines. I'm joined in this podcast by my wife, who helped me share a great talk with Kelsey.
