40. Andrew Knewstubb & Regan Ware

I had such a laugh sitting down with theses NZ 7s lads. Lucky for me, both Stubby and Regan were injury call ups to the Tasman Mako team this year and I got to have a chat with them while they were in Nelson.

We talked about the crazy last couple years these guys have had - from the Commonwealth games, World Cup in America and an Olympic Games campaign.

This is a great look behind the scenes of the NZ 7s team; but it isn’t all serious, there’s also a lot of shit talked along the way. Two absolute lads! And I wish these guys all the best for what’s next in there careers. Thanks for jumping on!

51m · Published 05 Nov 03:00

Anton burst onto the mountain bike scene as a 17 year old kid when he was still in school. Since then he has gone from strength to strength.

Anton has done so much in his 10 year career so far - winning the commonwealth games gold in Glasgow, competing in the Olympics in Tokyo and of course winning races around the world on the UCI world circuit.

This is a great behind the scenes look into what it takes to be one of the best mountain bikers on the planet. I’m looking forward to seeing what’s next for this guy in the future!

Thanks for jumping on Anton!

Brooks story of resilience and hard work is incredible. After a massive crash on the world downhill circuit in 2019, Brook fractured his T12 and L1 vertebrae was left unable to use his legs. These are Brooks stories of his recovery.

We also talk about his career so far and some of the ups and downs - leaving NZ as a 17 year old kid to follow his dreams. Over 10 years later he is still living out his dream riding his bike around the world.

One hell of a chat and one hell of a bloke. I appreciate you jumping on Brook!

Most of you will know him as rugby league legend playing for both the Kiwis and the Warriors. But what he has been able to do off the field is pretty impressive too. From footy to business to boxing this guy has been involved in a bit of everything.

Monty made me feel comfortable straight away and we had a great conversation about everything he’s done so far and what’s next for him. An absolute privilege to chat this guy!

Thanks for jumping on Monty

36. Karl Tu'inukuafe

51m · Published 17 Sep 04:00

Karl’s journey is a true Cinderella story of New Zealand rugby.

After quiting rugby in high school he never thought he would play again. A few years later he got back into rugby to lose some weight. At this point he had gotten up to 170kg, his weight was starting to become a health issue, and after a couple years of hard work he was an All Black.

This is an awesome yarn about his story to becoming an All Black. And also everything before that that people probably don’t know. A great man with some great stories to tell.

Thanks for jumping on bro!

35. Niall Williams

1h 3m · Published 07 Sep 04:30

Niall’s journey to the Blacks Ferns is an awesome story of dedication and commitment.

Coming from a touch background she was pushed towards 7s by a mentor, she reluctantly turned up to her first training and the rest is history!

We chat through everything from growing up, her touch career and her Black Fern career so far. Niall is extremely open about her current injury and the uncertainty that that brings.

She has so many great stories and even some must hear trash talk. she had me laughing the whole way through this one, it’s a must listen!

Thanks for coming on Niall.

34. Bryn Hall

39m · Published 25 Aug 02:43

I had a sit down with Bryn while I was in Auckland (Pre lockdown). I personally really enjoy watching this guy play footy so it was cool to have a chat with him.

From a young age Bryn showed his talents; representing New Zealand through the grades and even captaining the U20 team at a World Cup. Starting his super rugby career with the Blues and now plying his trade with the Crusaders. He has now worked his way to become one of the best half backs in the country.

The thing I enjoy most about this one is you can tell how much he really loves his footy and talks in detail about all the things he has learnt so far. We talk about what’s next for him and we also talk about the championships, Barbarians trip, the Crusaders environment and much more.

A lot of great stuff in this one! Thanks for jumping on Bryn!

33. Jordan Kahu

47m · Published 09 Aug 04:00

Growing up in Wellington, becoming an All Black was his dream. But after an unplanned change of code he found himself in Australia.

A couple years later, schoolboy player of the year and captaining the best school team in Australia. He’s on his way to the NRL playing for a powerhouse team in the Brisbane Broncos.

But it hasn’t been all smooth sailing for Jordan, a career plagued with injuries. He talked about how we over came these and also talks about some things he would tell his younger self.

Jordan also created Chur media, a photography and videography company. He especially hopes to help young athletes with their personal brand and it’s really interesting to hear him talk about this space.

Now he’s back playing union and I really look forward to seeing him carve up once they get back out on the field after lockdown.

Enjoy

32. Teddy Stanaway

1h 3m · Published 26 Jul 04:27

I had a great chat with Teddy about his life and career up to this point. He is currently playing rugby in France.

It’s fair to say it wasn’t always perfect for Teddy on the footy field but his commitment and determination is unmatched, and it showed with his selection to the Rio Olympic for the New Zealand 7s team.

Off field Teddy started ORA CBD with fellow kiwi Liam Messam. They are working hard to get their CBD around the world and back home so everyone can reap the benefits that CBD has to offer. One of the greats,

thanks for jumping on brother!
