JR Spear is a military veteran and a martial arts coach. JR tells the story of how he was injured in an ambush while at a walking checkpoint in 2007, and how this experience has shaped his approach to life. JR Spear shares his story of going through war and coming home to a broken marriage and depression and his journey to recovery. He eventually sought help from a therapist, which led to him being diagnosed with chronic PTSD.
