Quarantine Cup Final: a panda versus a nuke

57m · Published 10 Aug 16:42

This episode features the Quarantine Cup FInal, a competition that got pulses racing all through quarantine, achieving a listenership in the double figures. On one side is the Nuke, who had seen off stiff challenges all the way to this last fixture and had told pre-match interviewers she had 'been revising'; and on the other, the Panda, who just knows things about CS and fancies her chances. Who won the inaugural Quarantine Cup? Listen and find out. Oh, and the glithchiness of this interface meant no transitions were inserted into this episode, so you get to hear the whole thing raw. Now, don't go pining after more polished studio finishing - just consider this the original source material, a kind of director's cut if you will.

A couple of fine people from Y10 discuss how Big Brother might be watching us, and for what means. Then they go head to head in a closely contested quiz, both contestants battling it out to demonstrate higher levels of politeness & courteousness. That bit was a draw, but the quiz itself produced a winner who advanced to the final. To find out who that was, just Press F5, HEH!

You'll have to listen to find out.

Like Djokovic versus Federer but more so

32m · Published 08 Jun 20:54

'Press F5' just keeps improving, it's like the podcast that evolves before your eyes, one day it might just become listenable. Today saw a truly epic quarter-final clash between two Y10 students that will have people's tongues wagging for years. 'Do you remember that time they had that tie-break that just went on and on?' they'll ask. Well you don't have to worry about missing out 'cause here it is. We overcame some tech difficulties where one contestant kept getting cut off, but like heroes we plodded on; we also, discussed the impact of technology on #BlackLivesMatter, then got down to the business of quizzing.

The difficult second episode
