CNA Education looked to solve challenges in ESSA’s financial reporting requirements. The project specifically focused on district- and school-level finances. This type of information is vital for local education agencies as they struggle to spotlight disproportionate spending, determine where additional funding is needed, and other equity-related issues.

In many ways, community colleges were designed to serve as educational and support hubs for adult learners as well.
During Part 1 of Applying Lesson Learned from Community Schools and Community Colleges we gained an understanding of community schools and the current research on the topic. Part 2 focuses on examples of success, resources for students and inside perspective on next steps for legislators and school leaders.

What is the next frontier for career and technical education (CTE)? In celebration of national CTE Month® 2017, CNA Education partnered with the Association of Career and Technical Education (ACTE) to bring you a special podcast on promising trends in CTE and innovative, successful practices in CTE. Special guest Kevin Oshinskie serves as project associate at ACTE where he facilitates projects and activities that help ACTE build stronger strategic partnerships with other organizations and companies, including public awareness activities such as CTE Month. Lul Tesfai, senior policy director at CNA Education, leads CNA Education’s efforts to strengthen the research base on CTE and support current and developing CTE programs. Lul most recently served as director of policy for the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education.
