Centuries ago, on a distant alien world, a young boy plays with his robotic companion. Meanwhile, in the England of 2067, X-06 is dead - apparently.

How are these events connected? And what does it mean for the future? Both X-06 and Commander Sinclair will need to go to great lengths to 'know their enemy'...

Scottish spy X-10 (who long term listeners may recall rescued X-06 from Soviet jail in the last series) bears a serious grudge against the FUTURESPY, but is personal animosity all there is to it? Meanwhile, Commander Sinclair is placed in the hot seat to justify the actions of his predecessor. With world peace at stake, can he be trusted to do the right thing?
