Detective Practice

4m · Published 25 Nov 00:20

Anxious attachment, obsessive thoughts, and neediness is often triggered by fearful thoughts from childhood.

Those thoughts are often false and over-exaggerated. Those false thoughts are what trigger obsessive thoughts and emotional episodes.

To understand your thoughts you need to question them. To see if they make sense or if they are worth worrying over. Usually, we act on our feelings without knowing why, or what thought is triggering us.

By questioning your feelings and looking at your thoughts. You will be able to see the thoughts that trigger you are often fearful and over-exaggerated. Thoughts that make no sense and are not worth acting on. Once you realize the truth behind your fearful thoughts they lose their power over you.

Awareness Practice

6m · Published 24 Nov 23:25

Overwhelming anxiety, fear, attachment, and neediness is a severe problem. I struggled with it for over 22 years. Growing up I was overly judged and criticized. I was not allowed to get angry or express myself.

Over that time, I have come to realize that most of my anxiety came from what I was thinking. It came from childhood trauma and fears of not being loved or abandoned.

For a long time, I did not know those fears triggered my emotional episodes and attachment. It was not until I became more aware of my emotions. And I was able to discover the hidden thoughts that drove my anxious thoughts and overwhelming attachment to others.

In this audio, I talk about awareness practice.

  • How it works to overcome anxious thoughts and feelings.
  • How your thoughts trigger your anxiety.
  • How to discover fear-based beliefs.

Acceptance Practice

8m · Published 24 Nov 20:19

Anxious thoughts and feelings come from deep feelings of not feeling loved and accepted by those close to us. I know it hurts to feel unwanted or ignored.

Growing up we were taught that to get love we must be perfect or behave in a way that pleases others. Acceptance practice is all about learning to accept yourself. To free yourself from the obsessive feelings of wanting to be loved and accepted by others.

To realize you have flaws and its ok. To realize it is ok to be angry or upset at times. To accept that you have negative emotions and it is ok to have them. To realize that love comes from within you, and until you love and accept yourself you will not be able to overcome your anxiety.

In the audio above I will be talking about.

  • What acceptance practice is.
  • How to heal from emotional childhood traumas.
  • How to accept and love yourself for who you are.

Redemption Practice

7m · Published 24 Nov 20:08

We often do not realize how we block ourselves from being happy.  On the surface, you want to get over your anxiety, but inside, most people don't feel they are worthy of change.

This is one of the biggest blocks to overcoming overwhelming anxiety. I know it hurts but, if you want to stop being needy and emotionally triggered, you need to support yourself and stop being so hard on yourself.

This means realizing that you are not perfect. That you make mistakes. Forgiving yourself for getting emotionally triggered and talking to yourself in a more supportive and loving way.

In the audio above I talk about redemption practice.

  • The point of redemption practice
  • How it helps you to overcome negative attachments and trauma bonding.
  • How it helps you to become more comfortable with yourself
  • As well as 1 of 3 mini - practices that help you overcome anxious/preoccupied attachment.

F.E.A.R

9m · Published 24 Nov 16:56

The best acronym I have ever seen for fear is.

Most of the fear and anxiety I felt growing up came from my fears of being rejected and abandoned as a child. The trauma I developed in childhood. Caused me to obsess over the possibility of a romantic relationship.

Then imagine the back-breaking pain of judgment and rejection. I could feel the pain in my spine. I'm pretty sure you have felt the pain of wanting to be with someone. Or the frustration of having someone stuck on your mind.

The truth is overwhelming fear is triggered by what you expect to happen. It is often caused by a false belief. False beliefs that often came from an overly negative person or your inner child.

That part of you that was neglected, abused and forgotten. That part of you with a wild imagination. Thinking of all the horrible unimaginable things that would happen if you were abandoned. Horrible, horrible thoughts.

Your thoughts, influence your feelings, and your feelings, influence your actions.

So how do you get a handle on your fears and thoughts? How do you figure out what your inner child is saying?

In this audio, I talk about.

The triangle of belief.

The 3 parts of you.

How to identify and stop irrational fears.

Main Cause Of Anxiety #2 The Volcano

9m · Published 24 Nov 16:29

Growing up I was overly judged and criticized. I was not allowed to get angry or express myself. I was taught that to get love and approval I had to be perfect or behave in a way that made others happy.

At a young age, I was taught it was bad to have certain emotions. That having those emotions would lead to disapproval. On top blaming myself and feeling guilty for every little thing that happened.

I began to suppress and hold on to those negative emotions. But as you know eventually those emotions have to come out. They erupt out of you like a fiery volcano without warning. The build-up of pressure is so strong that it creates a wave of anxiety throughout your body.

Forcing to release large amounts of the toxic stress hormone cortisol. It feels like an itch you can't scratch. You are left always feeling stressed and on edge, as your body slowly breaks down.

Combined with the compulsive need for love and approval. This will make others see you as over-sensitive and crazy. So why does this happen and how do to reverse it?

In this audio, I will be talking about.

  • How holding on to negative emotions damage the body
  • How to stop your body from releasing cortisol into the body.
  • How to stop the build-up of negative emotions.

Main Cause of Anxiety # 1 The complicated love conflict

Main Cause of Anxiety # 1 - The complicated love conflict

I know what it feels like to think love is what makes the world go round. To think if only I find someone to love me, I will feel alive.

To seek love and approval from everyone you meet. To have obsessive thoughts of a romantic relationship and to be loved unconditionally.

But the hard truth is, the love and attention we seek from others. Is actually an attempt to reverse childhood trauma. We see it as an opening to finally get the love and attention we did not receive as a child.

But as you know it is never enough. We tend to obsess and attach ourselves to people. Always worried about what they are thinking or what we can do to make sure they don't abandon us? Even if we know that person may not be good for us.

But why?

The slippery banana: The art of letting go.
