E58: Hey Luke, Are You Afraid of Death?!

34m · Published 28 Nov 10:00

Heeeeeey. So, we've been gone for a while. Sorry about that! The thing is, humans aren't meant to constantly produce things and work, and Luke and Quinn are both mentally ill and needed a bit of a break. Also, waaaaay more time has passed than they realized! Here's an episode that they filmed for you weeks ago.

Oh, one more thing: we are going to continue our hiatus until the new year, where we will be back and (hopefully) better than ever. We will even endeavor to announce any future hiatuses ahead of time. Imagine that!

Anyway. Without further ado: here's some fun facts about the history of death, dying, and mourning, presented by Quinn. There's some angst from Luke, but Quinn promises it's fun! At least, for them. Fun is a loose word. Listen. You'll LEARN something! And the new year will bring more fun and shenanigans of the more uplifting sort. Until then, Friends!

E57: You're Telling Me a Fart Wrote This Simulation?

35m · Published 15 Aug 09:00

Hello, hello there Friends! New format, same podcast! Luke and Quinn are getting more structured over here and getting back to the heart of HMOF...talking about cool stuff. So tune in this week for some farm updates, Luke breaking Quinn's life and mind with an overview of simulation theory, symmetry, and why we are all the ancestors of fart clouds, and an AITA: The Friends Court that reminds us all how useless landlords really are.

All this and more, THIS WEEK!

While book club was fun, Luke and Quinn are ~depressed~ and can't read on a rigid schedule. Don't worry, they'll still let you know if something juicy comes their way!

E55: Who Let Boo Radley Out

38m · Published 06 Jul 09:00

Lucky you! You've found your way to the third episode of the rest of our lives together, Friends! Come along with Luke and Quinn as they introduce the new format for Hear Me Out Friends - each episode will act as a book club in which Luke or Quinn selects the book...and their tastes are not quite the same.

Quinn chose our book this week: Beautiful Creaturesby Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. It's YA. It's got romance. It's got magic. It's got teen angst. And oh boy, does it have some interesting takes on small town life in South Carolina.

If you'd like to read along for the next episode (still an every two week format) Luke's selection is Duneby Frank Herbert! Check it out from your local library or get it however you get your books, and send us your thoughts to go over for the ep.
