In this episode of SienaCast, Year 12 Italian students, Isabella P and Patrice V, recount their journey as finalists in the Dante Alighieri Poetry Recitation Competition, where they eloquently recited Italian poems before a panel of judges. Congratulations to Isabella, who achieved third place among one and a half thousand participants from across Victoria. They also discuss their motivations for studying Italian and participating in the competition, as well as the immersive and practical approach to the Italian curriculum at Siena College. In this edition of SienaCast, our Head of Science, Nick Harvey, interviews Dr Hayden Dalton about his PhD research in various parts of the world. His research sheds light on the origin and evolution of kimberlites, which are the most deeply derived magmas on Earth. In this episode of SienaCast, we caught up with Gracie, Harper, Sienna and Zoe to talk about their success at the Secondary Aeroschools State Championships and the rewarding experience they had at the National Secondary Aeroschools Championships held in Gold Coast, alongside other winning schools. In this episode of SienaCast, we are joined by Respectful Relationships team members, Majella, Isla and Maya to reflect on their experience at the 2022 Respectful Relationships Student Forum held at Avila College, as well as the different Respectful Relationships initiatives that the College has introduced post COVID restrictions. At Siena, we are committed to providing a platform for the student body to discuss areas of concern, share student voice survey data and discuss how they can engage the wider community to raise awareness of Respectful Relationships.
