My guest today is Michael Murphy, a Performance Artist/Drama Graduate and Director of Original Case Theatre. I met Michael when we both worked on the short film S**t Just Got Real. It was great to get to know him and I was fascinated by his approach to performance and life.

We discuss those approaches alongside his perceptions to masculinity and how life has changed since lockdown. Cracking bloke and a cracking chat. Enjoy!

My guest today is Dr. Ewan Kirkland, Principal Lecturer, Course Leader Animation and Games Art & Design School of Media at the University of Brighton. 

Having got back heavily into gaming I have become fascinated with the depth of storytelling now available. I found some of Ewan's work online and was really interested in his work on how gender is used in video games. We talk about this alongside how gaming has evolved and where it's future lies. We also discuss Ewan's forthcoming book "Videogames and the Gothic" where the traditional Masculine gendered Triple A gaming is paralleled against the Female gendering of Gothic Fiction.
