173. How To Lead With Purpose - Vamsi Polimetla

43m · Published 16 Feb 10:00

Vamsi Polimetla, is a seasoned runner, reader, and coach, joining us to discuss his incredible story. Born in India, Vamsi taught himself how to code and was quick to embrace the Java programming language when it first emerged. Vamsi moved from India to Singapore and then to the US, since it was far cheaper to obtain a car in the US. That’s right, Vamsi moved because he wanted to own a car, and that wasn’t feasible in Singapore. In the US, he was able to pursue his love for running and reading, two activities that helped him stay motivated and focused on his goals. Despite not being the “brightest student”, he was always eager to learn and read everything he could about coding. This dedication to growth and learning would eventually lead him to a successful career in the corporate world, where he worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield and even became an advisor to the CEO and CIO.

However, once Vamsi reached this point in his life, Vamsi realized that this wasn't the path for him and left to start his passion project, "Make More Leaders." In this coaching program, he teaches others how to be the best leader they can be and how to cut down on their work hours while enjoying life to the fullest.

170. Why Doubling Your Hours Worked Is Worth It - Ben Albert

1h 1m · Published 26 Jan 10:00

Starting a business is not an easy task, especially during a pandemic. But Ben Albert, the founder of  Balbert Marketing LLC and Real Business Connections, proved that with hard work, determination and a long-term vision, anything is possible.

Ben's story began in 2020 when he was laid off due to the pandemic. Instead of feeling defeated, he decided to take advantage of the stimulus provided by the government and start his own marketing business. It was not an easy journey, but he was determined to make it work. He put in long hours and worked tirelessly to grow his business.

Years later, his hard work has paid off, and he has achieved a yearly salary of a sales executive. But it wasn't just about the money for Ben, it was about creating a brand and a company that would pay him back in dividends for the work he did today. He had a long-term vision and was willing to put in the time and effort to achieve it.

Ben's story is a testament to the power of networking, growth, and working toward a better future. It's a reminder that if you have a dream, no matter how difficult it may seem, you can make it a reality. It's about starting with a goal in mind and taking the steps to make it happen.

So, if you're thinking of starting your own business, remember Ben's story. Remember that it's not just about the short-term rewards, it's about creating something that will pay off in the long-term. With hard work, determination, and a long-term vision, you can make your business a success.
