Thankfully, 2020 is almost behind us! Rather than focus too much on that, we're focusing this episode on Christmas. Hear how a bunch of retired soldiers, armed with some serious firepower, still managed to lose a war against a bunch of large birds. I think they skipped this verse in I Come From A Land Down Under.

It's a little bit of a dark and spooky one just in time for Halloween, with Elliot taking us deep into the Satanic Panic and apophenia. To wash that all down, we featured not one, but two beers from show favourites Garage Project in the form of their paired beers Jekyll and Hyde. It is, after all, time to finally (but cautiously) get on the beers.

Like the story of the Rainbow Warrior we covered in episode 24, this is another sad piece of New Zealand history that Mike had always heard about, but never really knew the full story. This time, it's an introduction to the 1979 Mount Erebus disaster involving Air New Zealand Flight 901, New Zealand's worst civil disaster. We do what we can to bring some levity to the tale, which probably came more from the 11+% beers we were both drinking.

It's time for another big beer on a Monday night. This episode features the 10.5% Viscosiraptor from Big Shed Brewing Concern, and despite what the name might lead you to think, we're not talking about dinosaurs on this one. Instead, it's time for a very amateur science lesson as Mike does his best to describe viscosity and Non-Newtonian fluids.

It's time for the story of the Cannonball Run, a very long, very unofficial, and legally dubious car race! Elliot tells us all about its origin and some of the more noteworthy developments along its history. To go with this one, we had a beer that would definitely render you unable to drive - the First Tracks Imperial Stout from Capital Brewing, weighing in at 10.5% ABV. It was a good ride.
