What are the characteristics of a godly woman? Where do we draw our references for what a woman should aspire to be like? These are questions that have profound impact if our sources are incorrect but can do immeasurable good if we have the right one. God gives us a glimpse into the character, and habits of a woman of noble character. Pastor Fikre Prince engages the text of Proverbs 31 to continue the series What God Says About..., to glean from wisdom for the description of an excellent woman.

Big Idea: Godly women are an essential part of the world, the church, and the home.

Key Question: How should we honor the women in our lives?

1. Acknowledge her value. (vv. 10-12)

2. Affirm her work. (vv. 13-27)

3. Applaud her character. (vv. 28-31)

Do you love the work that you do? What is the proper understanding we should have about work from a biblical perspective? From the begining of biblical history we read of work and labor, but not in the same way that it is talked about today. God establishes work in Eden and it is good and a blessing. In this final installment of the series Confessions, Pastor Fikre Prince, shares that not only should personal renewal spark community revival but that healing for the community brings God delight.

What should happen when you experience the loving restoration of the Lord? After you have been redeemed and have felt the love of the Lord, it should provoke you to worship and adore him. King David prays, “Create in me a clean heart…” and in doing so he leans on the Lord for his restoration, but he continues on to say “my mouth will declare your praise.” After you have felt his hand, you should worship the Lord.
