Hot Takes from College Students

This podcast is focused on how social media shapes and affects intimacy and dating, but also the individual human experience.

We try to answer the questions of: Why do we use social media? What are the best ways to use social media? How does another person’s profile affect your perception of them? What have we seen on social media and how has it affected us?

We touch on the many different functions of social media and how it is for personal consumption but has also evolved into a place for political discussion, current events, health education, and much more. We speak on the power of social media and also the danger of how vast and open the internet is.

Join Raquel and me as we embark on a journey about dating through the pandemic. We both dive into our dating lives and try to come to terms with the dating scene during a pandemic. We focus primarily on what dating looked like before the pandemic and how it looked during, and we even look towards the future to get a better understanding of how COVID-19 has changed the world permanently.
