71. You're Different Sis, Own It

34m · Published 28 Aug 10:00

Hey Sis! My best efforts at trying to belong always reinforced that I was different. I hardly ever "fit in." For years, it felt like a disadvantage, but I've come to realize that it's actually one of the best advantages one can have. If you can relate to marching to the beat of your own drum, you're in good company! In this episode, I share how I discovered that fitting in wasn't my issue, identity was. Let's talk about it! _ _ _ Subscribe Sis... I drop new episodes every week within a season.

70: Why the Podcast Name Has Changed

5m · Published 24 Aug 15:00

New name, who dis?! Hey Sis! You've likely noticed that the podcast name has changed. So I felt it only right to tell you why. Don't worry, you can expect the same type of content moving forward, just under a new identity (ooo, that could preach!). I love listener feedback, so check it out and let me know what you think!

Sidenote: In the scripture read (Matt 14:35-36), the "him/he" mentioned is Jesus. I didn't make that clear in the episode.

68. How to Heal

35m · Published 13 Aug 11:27

If you're trying to heal, Sis this episode is for you! Coming out of divorce, I've been on a major personal healing journey. I've been doing a lot of research on what it takes to heal (and by research I mean podcasts, books, sermons and YouTube lol). And what I'm finding is that not many resources get down to actual steps we can take, especially from a Christian perspective. So when I can't find it, I create it – with God's help of course!

In this episode, I share three steps we can take to help us on our healing journeys. I made sure to sit with God to hear what he has to say on the topic, and truly believe he showed up. I hope it blesses you Sis!

45m · Published 10 Aug 10:00

Hey Sis! The devil was big mad about this episode (you'll see why) but I was determined to share this message with you. I kick off Season 6 with a deep dive on finding our joy and the benefits of slowing down. Spoiler alert: one might have something to do with the other. I also break down WHAT it looks like when we don't slow down, HOW to recognize the need to slow down in our lives, and WHY it's even worth it. Yea, it gets good! I'm excited to reconnect with you, catch you up on my summer, and encourage your soul. I'll admit, it gets a little interesting toward the end with some unexpected distractions, but I promise this will bless you.
