Lyrics from “Rent” by Jonathan Larsen At last night’s bonfire on the beach (an annual tradition for the sacred journey) we journeyers reflected on the events and exploration of the past week. The reflection time is the last evening event of the sacred journey. We will close with a morning event today… and gratefully I know little about the event this morning, except that it is on the beach and involves sandcastles. I’ve been experiencing the journey in this way. Simply allowing myself to go from one event to another without expectation.

I am the wisest man alive, for I know one thing, and that is that I know nothing. Plato The Sacred Journey of Childlike Wonder took a deep dive yesterday. I love these beautiful little gems of care provided by our hosts which deepen into self-discovery, and ultimately self-actualization. During our midday workshop yesterday we were reminded that all the work we do while we are here means nothing if we don’t carry it with us beyond this experience.

The Sacred Journey took us, as it does each year, to the monastery where we had an audience with Sadasivanatha Palaniswami. This is the activity I most look forward to each year I visit the island. I become deeply reflective in this most magnificent place. This year was no different.
