35m · Published 18 Sep 19:54

In this week's podcast we talk about the top 5 ways you can make couples therapy work for you and the top 5 ways that people often work against their goals. 4 We-ness and children

28m · Published 12 Sep 15:30

In this episode we talk about the challenges that we often don't talk about, children! Often children come into the world carrying many of the hopes and dreams of a couple, what happens when the child has mental health diagnosis? Typically it involves a lot of focus on the child and (as is often the case with any child) a sense of a change in the relationship for the couple. We talk more about the isolation that can be felt when a child has experiences that don't line up with our "normal" expectations and the shame, blame or guilt a parent can feel that pulls us from that sense of we-ness. Join us to learn more about this and how we can still build our we-ness while providing the needed support and love to a child with different needs.

3 We-ness and fighting

35m · Published 04 Sep 19:35

In this episode we talk about fights (on our new, upgraded microphones!) We all have them, and sometimes they can damage our relationships. Jeremy shares a fantastic tool to help you navigate a disagreement and communicate more effectively and we take a look at Brené Brown's Engaged Feedback Checklist to help us know when we're ready to both give and receive critical feedback. So go ahead and disagree, we're all for it, it's part of being honest and vulnerable and it will help you develop more we-ness!
