Where & How to Give/ Methods for Centering Around Your Vision

21m · Published 24 May 19:47

Hello!

Thanks so much for listening to this episode of Yoked. In today's episode, I'm sharing a few processes related to a question I've received a number of times over the past few years:

How do I decide which organizations or movements to support?

First, thank you to everyone who has asked me this question! I am happy it is in our minds and hearts.

Second, this is a question that leads to another set of questions.

  1. What are my heart-codes? (Here's an episode alllll about Heart-codes. ALSO, Day 10 of my Self-Care Challengeon Yoga Anytime centers around Heart Codes as an expression of Ishvara Pranidhana-- definitely check it out if you are interested in diving deep!)
  2. How do I want to feel? (This comes from Danielle LaPorte's Desire Map framework. I definitely use this framework in my daily life. Highly recommend!)
  3. How can I show up?
  4. What movements align with all of that?

Cultivating Skillful Studentship

17m · Published 27 Apr 18:59

What is skillful studentship?

In this week's episode, we begin a conversation about what qualities assist in truly committing to learning, in yoga or any discipline.

In this episode, Kelly shares a framework of agreements that support skillful studentship. We're curious about what you would add to this list?

Please connect with your thoughts:

via tweet @kellysunrose

via email [email protected]

or by emailing a voice memo to the same address.

Thanks so much for sharing your voice.

Additionally, we're putting together a future episode on Yoga teacher burnout (physical, emotional, financial, etc.) and would love to share your experience. If you have experienced burnout of any sort, we'd love to hear from you. You can share your experience (and suggestions for surviving burnout) via tweet, voice or email as mentioned above. We're also looking for voices to include in a live panel discussion on this topic. If you are open to sharing your experience in this way, please let us know.

Thanks so very much.

All love, kelly yokedpodcast.com

Keeping It Simple While Stretching Yourself

35m · Published 18 Apr 20:14

Thanks for being here, dear listener.

Thanks for being, really.

In this week's episode of YOKED, I'm sharing one of our monthly Q&A sessions (Satsang, in the yoga tradition) from the Wildcat Yoga Club. Tracy asked an amazing question, and I'm wrestling with it in this episode.

Curious about our online community? We have a complimentary 2-week membership that you can access here.

My semi-sabbatical is nearing its end, and I am practically bursting with joy to share space (virtual, physical, BEYOND) with you in the coming year. I'll be opening up the next season of immersive practices with a few experimental workshops, with priority given to Wildcats and to those who receive my newsletter. SUPER EXCITED.

LOVE TO ALL>>>>> kel

p.s. Yoga Teachers, I'm preparing an upcoming episode on burnout. Would you like to share your thoughts on the show? Please reach out by emailing me or through the comment form on yokedpodcast.com. LOVE.
