Episode Notes: In February of 1921, three students on their way to Parma Central school happened across a gruesome sight - two women bludgeoned beyond recognition, lying dead in the icy mud off a dirt road. The students raced to school to inform their teachers of the discovery, only to find the school building was still locked. In 2002, a man co-workers and acquaintances had always known as Joseph Newton Chandler III killed himself in the bathroom of his Eastlake apartment. But a probate court's search for next of kin would find Chandler had been living under a stolen identity for 30 years. Their investigation would eventually reveal the mysterious suicide victim had been born Robert Ivan Nichols, a father of three sons from Indiana who abandoned his family in the 1960s with the cryptic message: "In due time, you'll know why." A man introduced himself as her mother's co-worker, and asked for her help in picking out a gift to celebrate her mother's promotion. Amy agreed. Friends who walked her to the shopping center on the appointed day were the last to see her alive as she calmly walked away with the stranger. Her body would be found three months later.
