A charismatic leader and excellent military commander, he consolidated his political power in Rome to the point where he made himself 'Dictator-for-Life'. Caesar's assassination was a pivotal moment, as it led to the collapse of the Republic and the birth of the Roman Empire. Today, the events of the Ides of March are infamous... but what if it never happened?

The Iranian Revolution of 1979 saw the Shah of Iran being toppled in a popular revolution. Led by Ayatollah Khomeini, this new Islamic Republic of Iran sought to impose its hard-line brand of Shia Islam over the country, and export it across the Middle East. Nearly forty-five years later, Iran has been grappling with mass demonstrations after the death of a young woman in police custody. It's clear this revolution had major ramifications... but what if it never happened?

In doing so, they brought Russia down the path of totalitarianism and famine. Eventually, they would go on to lead a global struggle for ideological supremacy which dominated the second half of the twentieth century.
