Let's all cozy up together, cringe and giggle as Jackie & Char spew a deeply intertwined story of the family saga of one James Lord Pierpont of Massachusetts. Author of none other than, Jingle Bells. You know the one.

Sappy, nostalgic tears and laughs this week as Jackie and Char decide to research the family tree of two leading family lines of the notorious, long running soap opera, Days of our lives. Yep, you read that correctly. Why did we do this? Simply, because we can. 

This week, we researched our Bledsoe family line that took us on an unexpected boat trip from Barton Seagrave, England to the Virginia colonies. We uncovered a captivating tale of the "Bledsoe Brothers" and their remarkable connection to Daniel Boone, and the long Hunters of the time. 

This week, Charlotte and Jackie decided to take a turn in our usual dialogue and shine some light on the hidden corners of genealogical message boards. We randomly come across posts that absolutley confuse us, make us laugh or even educate us!

Our listener episode for this month is so very rich in cultural heritage that we were pleasantly overwhelmed! The Odell family, hailing from Bedfordshire, England, embarked on a transatlantic journey that led them eventually to the serene area of Sleepy Hollow, NY. This family began a chapter, weaving their own narrative into the tapestry of this historic town that then led the family to branch out to Hammonton, NJ. 

Join us this week as we talk about the Ellsworth family origins, from Cambridgeshire, England, to the new England colonies. Being a maternal line for Larry, this story has mesmerized us. We delve into quite a few tales, including the infamous Addison Ellsworth, who ended up in Eastern State Penitentiary, and the elder Addison and his obsession with Entomology.

We have wanted to chat about the 1890 Census for some time and are happy to say we have made all your wildest dreams come true this week.  In 1921 the collection of papers that compiled the census data of 1890 encountered a significant loss due to a fire, but what we found was this wasnt the first brush with fire for these precious documents! Who was the dancing Professor and why was George intoxicated on the job?
