The Extended Biopic Universe
9m · PublishedI got bored and started thinking about what would happen when the biopic genre eventually combines with the tropes of the extended universe trends we've all come to know over the last decade or so. The unholy matrimony of these two trends in cinema is the subject of this video, in which I envision a future where Ed Sheeran fan fiction is not only tasteful, but is likely to be nominated an academy award. The horror of this vision of the future was only amplified by how entirely likely it is to occur. I have let you glimpse this dystopian future, and for that I am deeply sorry.
The Ethics of Video Games: Gameplay, Decision Making, and Violence
40m · PublishedA deconstruction of the moral panic surrounding everyone's favourite time waster. Discussing first person shooters, narratives with multiple endings, and the value of a medium that can allow the audience a sense of moral agency.
The Working Class Ghost Hunter
34m · PublishedA very brief analysis of the Ghost Hunting occupation as it has existed throughout popular culture, from the Classic Mickey Mouse sketch "Lonesome Ghosts" to the recently completed Supernatural television series, taking perhaps a bit too much time to talk about the intricacies of the Luigi's Mansion lore.
Harbinger of the Subterranean City: PODRAMA Episode 3
37m · PublishedA working class constructed from steel, a precarious system of government, and more than enough yams to fill a spacious cavern: all of these await in this episode of PODRAMA, as we delve deep into the crust of the Earth, to find a labyrinthian city sectioned off from the world of above.
Kimberly Clockworthy & The Battle of Bards: PODRAMA Episode 2
31m · PublishedThe second instalment in the PODRAMA series has us delving deep into the woodlands of an ancient, somewhat anachronistic, and entirely fictional continent, as a Lute player by the name of Kimberly Clockworthy struggles to make her worth. There's also microtonal tunes and some hard bass thrown in there somewhere if those are the sort of thing that do it for you.
The Other Worldly Demon of the Desert: PODRAMA Episode 1
31m · PublishedThe Maiden Voyage of the PODRAMA Ship. Will it stay afloat? Find out in this episode, which follows a man on a mission, travelling through the Australian desert in search of humanity's ultimate enemy.
