1h 26m · Published 12 May 19:50
Pierce Courchaine is back and, slowly but surely, is working through the Vita’s catalogue of classics (even if he cheated and played the PS4 version for this one), and Chase is happy to oblige. So this time we chat about 2013′s Dia de los Muertos inspired action platformer, Guacamelee!

1h 16m · Published 13 Mar 19:52
We’re back in Boston (”we” being Chase and East Coast Correspondent Matt Giguere) for PAX East 2017. We played a lot of games, met a lot of great people and even went to a half-birthday party for Danny O’Dwyer’s Noclip. We talk about a ton of stuff this episode: Devolver Digital, Adult Swim Games, Sony, Nintendo and many, many more.

Episode 61: Pokemon Regional Championship - St. Louis/Collinsville

52m · Published 06 Mar 01:36
I traveled with my friend (and previous GotG guest), Sam Chandler as he competed in the video game side of the Pokemon Regional Championship in Collinsville, Illinois. It was both of our first times at an event like this, and it was way different than either of us thought it would be. I talked to a lot of different people and took a bunch of photos. Look for a more in-depth piece on my experience soon.

Episode 60: 2016′s Best Vita & Mobile Games

2h 8m · Published 22 Dec 20:55

Longtime guest, new Vita owner and Android enthusiast Pierce Courchaine joins Chase to talk about all the great ports games that came to Sony’s semi-forgotten portable as well as the a completely non-comprehensive look at what we played from the App Store and Google Play (do you know how many games release on these storefronts a day? It’s nuts.)

And after listening to our final podcast of 2016, be sure to check out Pierce’s personal top five handheld games list and all of GOTG’s other game of the year coverage by clicking through the tag “GOTGGOTY2016.”

Our last list will be posted tomorrow and then we’re off for the holidays!

Episode 56: Spelunky

Now that Pierce Courchaine is married (and more importantly, has a Vita thanks to Chase’s wedding present), we can talk about a very good and important game: Spelunky! Though not originally a handheld game, it’s hard to argue the Vita version isn’t the best way to play this fantastic game. We dig deep to uncover all the mysteries Spelunky has to offer.

Episode 55: Pokemon Black & White

2h 16m · Published 07 Jul 20:04
We have made it to the fifth generation of Pokemon games at Gamers on the Go, so it was time to bring back Ty Frahm to talk about it. Get ready for a lot of talk about why this generation isn’t as good as the previous ones (we’re old men who like old Pokemon games.)

Episode 54: Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright & Conquest

1h 37m · Published 08 Jun 20:09
Danielle Doerr makes her podcasting debut to discuss one (two, maybe even three?) of the best games of 2016, Fire Emblem Fates. We discuss both the Birthright and Conquest paths of the game, but if you’re looking for some dirt on the culminating path of Revelation, you won’t find it here. What you will find is a copious amount of comparisons to our 2013 Game of the Year: Fire Emblem Awakening (in the podcast, we erroneously say it was 2014. Time flies!)
