(20:20) The crew starts to talk about their relationship with their parents after the move. Haitian parents, for the most part, are not vocal about their emotions towards their kids and in this episode, the crew unpacked how they dealt with that and the impact of that experience in their adult stage. (46:03) The conversation led to the effect that their upbringing had on making adult decisions. (54:00) Lastly, the crew talked a bit about the disconnect from Haitian churches due to the language barrier and lack of the "why" behind going to church and more!

The HMP crew is back! Welcome to episode 16, the start of season 2 of the Haitian Millennial journey in America. (13:00) The crew catches up and talks about the things they did while they were away. Next, The crew gets into a brief debate about AirPod sharing etiquette (43:10). (49:00) The journey of season 2 commenced. The goal for this season is to talk about life after high school, the “grown” stage. In this episode, the crew begins to share their story of when they moved out of their parent's house. They talked about some of the challenges faced during the transition from high school to college. How the language barriers in the Haitian household affected their process of “adulting”. Lastly, the crew wishes everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! This episode is full of laughter but also a lot of serious conversations that are much needed for the Haitian Millennial in America. The Spring season is coming to an end and the crew had to send everyone off with a mix that captures all of the spring feels.
