The Green Way Up - A ride from Melbourne to Sydney on a Harley-Davidson LiveWire

42m · Published 18 Mar 22:02
Our very first Harley-Davidson LiveWire customer and now friend of Harley-Heaven, Tim Collins came to us with an idea. He wanted to ride his new LiveWire from Melbourne to Sydney, and we were all about it. Riding from Melbourne to Sydney doesn't sound that exciting or difficult really but when you throw a H-D LiveWire, with a battery range of around 150km in the mix, it's a whole new ball game. Tim tells us the tale of the planning that went into this with finding charging stations along the way, the people he came across and the weather he had to tackle. After around 30 odd hours, Tim rolled into Harley-Heaven Sydney and successfully completed the first Melbourne to Sydney mission on a LiveWire. This is a short and sharp show but very cool all the same. We hope you enjoy it! #WeBuildRiders Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Softail Heritage: Why is this one of the most iconic Motorcycles | Special Guest Alex Bromley

1h 4m · Published 28 Oct 20:00
This week’s so is all about one of the most iconic Harley-Davidson Motorcycles of all-time, the Heritage Softail and we bring in a very special guest from Harley-Davidson Australia, Miss Alex Bromley. Harley produced the FXST Softail® in 1984 and it was an instant success. In 1986, the Heritage became available. The bikes looked like the rigid-based choppers of the 70's, but without the painful ride. Since then, the Softail® has remained an integral part of Harley-Davidson's® family of models. The family has gotten bigger, but Heritage Classic stays just as popular as it was in the beginning. With this week’s guest, it’s very likely that you would have never heard of Alex. She isn’t a celebrity, she isn’t Insta famous but what she is, is one of the most passionate Harley riders you’ll ever meet. Hailing from Sydney Australia, we talk to Alex about her role at the Motor Company and a few of the recent adventures she’s been on. As always, we finish up with a few listener questions and some great prizes to give away. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

The Men Who Founded Harley-Davidson | Who were they and what happened?

1h 2m · Published 21 Oct 20:00
Last week we had a question sent in that asked us what happened to William Harley and Arthur Davidson. Other than knowing that they were two of the men who founded the Bar & Shield, we don’t really know too much about them so this week, we decided we’d dedicate this show to them and learn more about what they did and where they ended up. Whether you're a die hard Harley rider or you wouldn't be caught pushing one around a deserted parking lot, there is no denying that few motorcycle companies have achieved the success that Harley-Davidson has over their 117 year history. But who were the visionaries behind this iconic brand? Listen in to find out what we found. #WeBuildRiders Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

1h 4m · Published 07 Oct 20:00
After a week off, Mick and Ben are back in the studio for Show 27, and this time around they are joined by a new co-host, the man, the myth, the legend, Theo Yiallourou (Harley-Heaven Melbourne Dealer Principle). To kick it off, the boys talk about a very rare Harley-Davidson that arrived at Harley-Heaven Sydney last week and that is the Harley-Davidson Blackline. This Harley only lasted three years, from 2011 to 2013, which is a huge shame! Next up, they discuss the rumors around the Street 500, and to finish off, the boys are joined by Mr Ray Martin, the Director of the OzHOG Chapter to tell us all about HOG and our Harley-Heaven Chapters. As always, we answer some questions from listeners and have some great prizes to give away. Thanks for listening in! #WeBuildRiders Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
