Soaring into the Kink Kloset we have Matt BLUF! Matt is a Sydney based leatherman who has been exploring the fetish scene for a very long time. Most people who know Matt know him for his work in the local community here in Sydney. He has been involved with successful projects such as the Sydney Kink Krawl, Sydney Fetish Week, and most recently, The Eagle Sydney. Matt attributes his passion to these projects from his travels as a young kinkster and learning from the kink communities of Europe and the USA. 

In Matt's experience, the fetish community has been a sub-culture within the gay community. In this episode we discuss on how recently social media has provided a place for the fetish community to come together; and Matt reflects on the positive experience he had providing a space for kinksters during Mardi Gras with the pop-up bar The Eagle Sydney. It is really nice to hear the story of the shy young kinkster who evolved into the confident leatherman who provides spaces for kinksters to be themselves.

Panther has represented the community as the Queensland Leather Puppy 2017, Australian Puppy 2017 was the first non North American to compete at IPAHW in 2018 and was Secondary Head Judge at IPAHW 2019.

Throughout his kink journey, Panther has linked his ability to achieve a focused head space in sport to his kinks. This has been very fundamental in developing his pup head space. In this episode we unpack what role a head space has in kink play. We also talk about how he has managed his kink relationships functioning remotely from different states.

She joins us from Southbend Indiana, yet has spent a lot of time travelling around the USA. Pup Fifi has been on their kink journey ever since the 80's and it is continuously evolving. On this journey Pup Fifi has dedicated herself to community involvement, from titleholding to service with the Windy City Boys Troupe. The Puppy Fifi is The Great Lakes Puppy 2003 and The International Puppy 2004, to which she was the first female International Puppy. 

You are all in for a real treat this episode. The Puppy Fifi says she was lost before she became a Fetish Person. However, you will hear about how she found herself once she discovered the leather community. We talk about the experience of being a live in slave, living above a sex club, how important friendships are when you are starting off on your journey and so much more. He knew he was always a fetish person from a young age, especially when his first kink experience involved watersports in a back alley. Fast forward to 2019 and Shane has overcome his anxieties and hurdles to become the 2019 Queensland Leather Boy. He is an active member of the Brisbane fetish community and has travelled interstate to represent his title.

In this episode we talk about what role the internet plays in a fetish person's journey, as for Shane it was always around, not a new edition to his life. We also talk about the process you go through when attending your first kink event and it was great to hear how Shane overcame his obstacles.

When her flatmate told her of the Hellfire Club in Sydney, she took the opportunity and ran with it. Now, almost 20 years later, Bee is a prominent figure in the local and international kink and fetish communities. 

Bee has represented Sydney as Ms Sydney Leather for 2015 and 2016, and reflects on her time as a titleholder. We end up catching Bee just before she leaves to go and attend Darklands in Belgium. She is very excited for Darklands as she will be a judge for the Mr Belgium Leatherman 2020 competition, which is a huge deal.

In this episode we explore how important events are for fetish community. For Bee, the Hellfire Club was a big eye opener and loved that all bodies were welcomed and celebrated. Beyond that, we discuss play parties and how women usually get ignored in this aspect. Welcome to the fifth episode of the Kink Kloset.

I would like to welcome Kingskin to step into the Kink Kloset with me. Kingskin is a queer leather woman born and raised here in Sydney. She is an educator, leather maker and big rebel at heart. Jo has been involved in the Sydney Leather and Fetish Community for many decades and has been a prominent figure within the community. 

In this episode Kingskin unpacks how it was her rebellious nature against her environment which made her feel so at home with kink. She also reveals her first sexual kink partner and how much impact they had on her life. Because of this, we discuss how important it is to have trusting play partners and how this landscape has changed over the years.
