The Last Word

1h 9m · Published 01 Jul 04:00

So we’ve come to the end of an era...with our recent graduation from college comes our graduation from this podcast! In this bittersweet episode, we close out the pod by looking back fondly on the highs and lows of our four-year collegiate academic journey. We reminisce about our favorite (and least favorite) buildings, classes, and even bathrooms(?!) on campus. Honesty is our policy, so we also get real about the intense stress culture, feelings of isolation, and study-life balance at Cornell. And as soon-to-be “real adults,” we couldn’t resist offering some sage advice for those who are on their own college adventures!

Sadly, this is our final episode, and we just wanted to say we’ve had so much fun recording this podcast over the past semester. We hope that this time capsule of our friendship brought you as much joy and laughter as it did to us. We’re thankful to have had this opportunity to share our favorite stories and hot takes with all of you — our wonderful listeners! We appreciate you for joining us at our “table for four”, whether it be for just one episode or all of them. Bye for now!

Getting Personal and Astrological

1h 2m · Published 10 Jun 04:00

Have you ever felt like someone really didn’t fit their zodiac sign? Our resident “Capricorn” Delia feels the same! Today, we continue our personality exploration as we see how our own stars align in the astrology sky — by flying past the shallow analysis of sun signs to read our detailed birth charts! Buckle up as we take a long flight through the solar system to land on the moon, Mercury, Venus, and Mars. We explore our signs in the different planets, as well as our rising/ascendant signs. If you’re an astrology skeptic, reading your birth chart may just change your mind when you find out something new about yourself that’s just out of this world!

If you’re intrigued by our birth chart discoveries (or inaccuracies), make sure to subscribe to the podcast so you’ll know when our next episode drops. Join us as we weave through the ins and outs of our personalities, and get into the nitty gritty of what really makes all of us tick. Find out who has the most to gain from their assessment… and who’s subject to the hottest takes!

Shh, We're Manifesting!

1h 21m · Published 13 May 05:26

Inspired by wishful thinking and all the possibilities that come along with our pending graduation, we’re dedicating this episode to envisioning our future! Traditional vision boards are collages of images, pictures, and affirmations of one's dreams and desires, designed to serve as a source of motivation. We make an audio version of our boards and speak our dreams into existence by musing on our dream jobs, travel bucket lists, ideal lifestyles, and more! Join us in the world of possibility as we consider relationship goals, sibling dynamics, future children, fast food in other places, and all the little things we’d love in our dream homes.

Asking the Unasked

1h 5m · Published 06 May 19:08

Looking for ways to really get to know the people you think you know inside out? We've got you covered. Having been friends for four years and housemates for two, we can relate to the occasional issue of knowing so much about each other that you sometimes don’t have much to talk about. Today we have a blast exploring an easy way to learn new things about each other: question lists! These lists of both silly and deep conversation starters make you think about unconventional topics, and help spark interesting conversations with the people you love. The convo gets funny and personal as we ponder potential tattoos, book fair bling, family member ranking, naked surprises, and conspiracy theories. Join in on the fun as we also consider the merits of coffee v. alcohol, playlists v. albums, handcuffs v. bike helmets, and other important, fascinating questions we’ve never thought to ask each other before.

If you laughed hard with us (the last question gets ~spicy~), make sure to subscribe to the podcast so you’ll know when our next episode drops. Food Chronicles

1h 22m · Published 15 Apr 04:00

How does a college student keep themself fed? Leaving home (and your parent’s cooking) for the first time can be tough, especially when it comes to figuring out where and how you’re going to eat. As seasoned seniors who’ve seen it all, we sample this question by revealing how we go about getting our three meals in, as well as our food hot takes and food media we follow. We dish on our mutual love of eggs, the essentiality of instant ramen, the good and bad of on-campus eateries, the struggle of cooking for one, and the highest spice tolerance in the house. Take a virtual food tour with us as we give you a taste of a college student’s three (or two) course day!
