 Interlude: Shooter Darius Sessom gets a life sentence for killing a 5-year-old neighbor

Having shot Cannon Hinnan in 2020, Darius Sessoms, 25, will serve the rest of his life behind bars without parole. Sessoms' sentence is part of an Alford plea, in which he declines to confess to his crimes but acknowledges that the state has enough evidence for a conviction.

A welfare check at Receia Kollie's Moorhead house on Dec. 1 revealed she was dead, the Moorhead Police Department said. Her death was caused by multiple injuries caused by sharp objects. James Diawo Kollie Jr., her 25-year-old son who was identified as a suspect in the slaying, was sought by police after the apparent murder.

 This Week we are revisiting the shooting of Emantic Fitzgerald Bradford Jr. On the night of Thanksgiving, November 22, 2018, Emantic Fitzgerald Bradford Jr., an African-American male, was shot three times from behind and murdered by Hoover police officer David Alexander at the Riverchase Galleria shopping mall in Hoover, Alabama. With cries for justice still being unheard, we are breaking down the case to see if Emantic was a victim of profiling.
