Money B (of Digital Underground): Black Panther to Break Dancer

31m · Fresh Era · 02 Nov 04:00

Much like the music Ronald "Money B" Brooks, his upbringing was far from the norm. A Philadephia transplant whose parents moved him to the Bay Area to work for the Black Panthers in the early 1970s, Money B quickly learned what having a strong community meant. He took that knowledge and applied it to his networking and worked his way from breakdancer to DJ to MC to superstar. Join us on a journey through Money B's life and find out what it was like to be a part of one of the most successful rap groups to come out of the Bay Area.
