034: astrology 101: 2020, the age of Aquarius, and why you should care

33m · Published 22 Dec 02:55

This episode was definitely out of my comfort zone, but as I sat down to tap into the Solstice, Grand Conjunction energy today, I got a clear call to share these messages. This conversation is a super approachable, lingo-free overview of what the heck the Grand Conjunction and the Age of Aquarius are, and most importantly- what it means for you.

This is such an important and beautiful time to be alive, but it’s also deeply uncomfortable. I know a lot of the discussions around astrology just leave you feeling more confused or turned off. In this episode, I wanted to empower you with the knowledge and tools that you can use as you take this time during the solstice and preparing for the new year to reflect and get clear on what you’re leaving behind so you can step out of the confining boxes we’ve been put in and into your truth and expansion. I gave you some historical context and actionable steps you can take today to stepping into this new paradigm.

033: pillars of holistic health with Seve Mangrum

53m · Published 18 Dec 23:38

Today's episode is a back-to-basics on creating a life of your own design, starting with the foundation: you. We sat down with holistic nutrition and behavioral coaching expert, Seve Mangrum to talk about the mindsets, understandings, and behaviors we have to have in order to live our fully expressed, fully aligned life. He walks us through his proprietary MORE system: the pillars of movement, optimization, and recovery, and what each of those entail; we talked about where these practices come from and how we've strayed away, personal power, and so much more.

Seve is the founder of Evoki Fitness and Health which is a company that focuses on human performance and optimization through his proprietary MORE system as well as his movement based stress relief practice, "WrKeN". As a Core-Tex master trainer and advance Precision Nutrition coach he has worked with some of the world's elite fitness pioneers, celebrities, executives and some of today's tech geniuses. Seve was featured in USA Today Sports on the power of mobility and movement when it comes to overall wellness and alleviating pain for today's progressive fitness enthusiasts.

032: life visioning workshop

40m · Published 15 Dec 02:39

This episode is not one to listen to in your car or on the go. This episode is a full life visioning workshop, just like the workshops I host through zoom and in person, which if you’re not signed up for my newsletter, Sunday Shot of Soul, make sure you do that so you never miss those. You can do that at https://forms.gle/xTcAW2vF8JQV4WmV7.

So you’ll want to set the space, sit down with a pen and a notebook, and have your phone or computer nearby to hit pause.

This workshop is around visioning and goal setting. I’m recording this episode on December 14 as we have a New Moon and Solar Eclipse making it a potent time to set intentions not only the next month but the next year. This year has been full of feelings of restrictions and constraint. It’s been uncomfortable, but transformative.

The invitation today is to venture deep into ourselves so that we can uncover our truth and create a life that is authentic and in alignment with our soul’s mission. The themes of this time with both the solar eclipse and the new moon occurring in Sagittarius are freedom, moving beyond restraints; adventure, wandering; and aiming high and dreaming big.

This workshop is different from others because instead of using your head, I'm challenging you to drop into your heart to uncover your true desires and focus on qualities and feelings rather than material items. I'm also challenging you to go big. Instead of setting a goal of "being healthier", why not set the goal of being the most vibrant person in the room!

The poem I read was The Invitation by Oriah Mountain Dreamer. If you haven't listened to the episodes on following your bliss and manifestation, I highly recommend you go back and check those out to help embody your dream version of yourself.

031: blending ancient wisdoms & modern life with Jeddy Azuma

56m · Published 11 Dec 19:19

In today's episode, I sat down with someone who has been a big inspiration for me, Jeddy Azuma. Jeddy and I covered a LOT. He shared his story of how he came to connect with truth, ancient practices, and doing work that is aligned and meaningful, and how we all are working to leave a legacy. We talked about the difference between a boy and a man and the difference between the "initiations" we see in modern hazing and the traditional initiation ceremonies that have been practiced for thousands of years and that Jeddy works with today. We covered topics like asking for help and why it's so hard, being process vs. results oriented, what the point is of ceremony, and how we can practice and develop our relationship with challenge. This episode was dense, maybe one you want to go back and listen to again.

Jeddy Azuma is the host of “The Rising Man Podcast” (Top #150 in Educational Podcasts) and Creator of The Rising Man Movement, Jeddy has been in the field of Men’s Leadership and Empowerment for the past 10 years.

As a Rites of Passage Guide, Mentor, and Leadership Coach, Jeddy has impacted the lives of hundreds of men on his mission to initiate an entire generation of men into power and purpose-driven service to the world. He is a Founding Father of Conscious Man Brotherhood and a lead coach in Man Cave, Unleash the Beast, and King’s Court.

Despite his many roles and contributions to “Men’s Work", Jeddy considers his most important jobs to be Father and Husband.

“I always knew I wanted to make a major impact on the world, I just had NO idea how to do that in my 20’s. After numbing myself with substances and fear-based behaviors for years, I finally found a path in men’s work and rites of passage that fed my soul. And, I knew it was only a matter of time before I would give this medicine back to the men around me. NOW, I’m clear that the gift I have for my people is to prepare the next generation of men to lead their families, communities, and themselves powerfully and confidently into uncertain times."

You can learn more about Jeddy's programs and Rising Man at risingman.org and connect with Jeddy @jeddyazuma on instagram.

029: releasing control

30m · Published 04 Dec 22:04

Releasing control is essential to living a truly authentic and aligned life. It’s also really hard. In thinking about how I can explain releasing control, I came up with what I like to call the 3 fallacies. The fallacy of control, the fallacy of arrival, and the fallacy of perfection. In this episode, we cover the main understandings we have to come to in order to release control, what stops us, and why we should in the first place. I talked about my experience learning to release control by answering the call to stop everything I was doing to go into nature and within myself- a process that lasted months, but resulted in a version of myself I never knew was possible.

028: mastering duality: how to wear all of the hats with Autumn Aspen & Ian Mills

1h 2m · Published 30 Nov 18:30

This episode really hit home for me and I know it will with so many of you. Autumn Aspen and Ian Mills joined us to talk about duality. We talked about how we are, and should be, multi-faceted beings. We talked about how embracing all of the polarizing aspects of ourselves is difficult, but necessary if we want to step into this rich, fulfilling life. We each shared our own journeys coming to terms with our dualistic nature; we covered what authenticity really means, and how presence, self-trust, and self-forgiveness are necessary for our growth and creating this new, and infinitely better, way of being.

Autumn, Ian, and I met through our tribe lead by Aubrey Marcus, Fit for Service. I am so honored to announce that Autumn and Ian have now created their own community that I am humbled to be serving in, called, The Bridge Between.

The Bridge Between is a community built to bring together individuals who are ready to step into their inherent gifts, receive support, and experience deep connection with others who are on the journey of self discovery. Applications are OPEN. Head over to https://www.becomethebridgebetween.com

027: a new way to be with David Cruz

47m · Published 27 Nov 17:25

This may be my favorite episode yet. Living a spiritual life does not have to look like you becoming a monk in the Himalayas, wearing crystals, abandoning your corporate career, or whatever stereotypes you had in mind. The old paradigm might have been that you either are "super spiritual" and you lock yourself away and dedicate your life to God OR you crush it in your business, drive a Tesla, wear Lululemon, and pick up girls at bars...but not anymore. My friend, fellow Aubrey Marcus' Fit For Service Fellowship member, David Cruz is the perfect example of this.

Living a spiritual life means tapping into your true self, your soul, your inner knowing, and aligning everything you do with that. You were created perfectly unique, so that means you get to be something that's never been done before. You don't have to fit into a box so that people understand you- your only job is to be your soul's highest and most expressed version of yourself, and only you can know what that looks like. In this episode, David and I talk about achiever mentality, realizing external validation will never make you truly fulfilled, identity crisis, and so much more.

David read us a poem from Matthew McConaughey's new book "Greenlights". If you're like me and have been procrastinating downloading Audible, now is the time to do it. Head over to www.audibletrial.com/spiritualtwenties, create an account, and you will have a FREE credit to download Matthew McConaughey's "Greenlights", Aubrey Marcus' "Own the Day, Own Your Life" or whatever book you know you have to read, but have been putting off.

David Cruz is a certified financial planner, born and raised in Tampa, Florida, where he runs the 5AM Club Community. David is that successful, Lulu-wearing, Tesla driving, physical specimen that has ladies cranking their heads at the bar (he's gonna kill me for that line). But you'll also find him at 5AM leading meditation and breath work sessions, writing in his journal, and diving deep in meaningful conversation about soul and life. He is the perfect example for what it means to create your own spiritually-aligned life. You can connect with him on Instagram @David.cruz_ and check out the 5AM Club @5amclubfl.

026: abundance mindset with Tenika Francis

47m · Published 24 Nov 02:01

In this episode, Tenika Francis joined us to talk about abundance mindset. We talked about how we can move from limiting beliefs and self sabotage into truly believing that you are worthy of abundance. We covered how these mindset shifts are necessary, but difficult because they are so embedded in our subconscious minds- often we don't know they're there.

We also talked about competition. As we step into our King and Queen energy, we have to face this illusion that we are fighting against each other to get to the top. Your purpose is to live your highest and fullest expression of self. That means no one else can do it. That means you're not competing with anyone. It's not that there's 1 throne and we all have to race to it, it's that we are all here to learn how to sit on our own thrones. To arrive at this mindset, we have to overcome our scarcity beliefs.

Tenika Francis is a master coach practitioner specialized in mindset and business. She is a coach to female entrepreneurs are wanting to be the highest versions of themselves but face overwhelm, anxiety, lack of clarity and procrastination that show up in their day to day thinking habits. She is the creator of her new signature program DivineMe 3-Hour Intensive Abundance!

025: play, pleasure, & curiosity

29m · Published 20 Nov 18:24

Is your life fun? Do you play? The older we get, we tend to take ourselves more and more seriously. 2020 has especially had a lot of serious and heavy energy and so it is more important than ever that we invite in play, pleasure, and curiosity.

Taking ourselves so seriously is not natural, it's not our true nature. If you want to be one of those people who think life is this big struggle that you have to push through until you die, this episode (& this show) is not for you. But if you're someone who knows that there is something more. Who knows that life is an adventure and a gift and we should act accordingly, this one's for you.

Think about the dream version of yourself. We manifest the life we want by becoming that person in our dream today. So if you want to live a more joyful life, laugh more, play more, have adventures, you have to make time in your life for play and adventure- even and ESPECIALLY when things are hard.

How can you play? How can you reconnect to your body and feel that sensual pleasure? Can you look at all those questions and those problems weighing heavy on your mind with a sense of curiosity instead of like this impossible puzzle that you have to solve?

Play, pleasure, and curiosity are innate characteristics of our true nature. Therefore, when we engage in them, we reconnect to our true, authentic Spirit.

If you need support with cultivating this aligned, authentic, and FUN life, my 1-1 coaching is open! Head over to https://www.paigeoxley.com/mentorship-with-paige and schedule a free 30-minute chat with me TODAY!
