Dave Moore is the Brand Archivist and Historian for the Carhartt clothing Company. His jobs include DAM admin, finding new acquisitions, outreach as an ambassador for the archive. This episodes covers topics related to creating an archive from scratch, how 130 years of a company gets preserved, and how ebay may be an archivist's best friend. It also covers questions such as, how do you ensure your archive is respected and used by a company, how do you advocate for space, how can you translate heritage work into profit? More broadly this episode talks about how to get a job, how to be paid for your work, and what the daily life of a corporate archivist looks like.
