The Importance of Sisterhood: Positive Sprinkles

23m · Published 26 Oct 09:00

Of the very few good things the pandemic did for us, forcing us to look for alternative ways to connect with people is definitely one of them. The safety of being in our homes, combined with the presence of others on the other side of the screen, created an auspicious place to lower defenses, be vulnerable, express ourselves, and why not, connect more deeply. Thanks to online connections, we started our sisterhood, a safe space where we feel protected, lifted up, heard, and supported - and that's what we are talking about today.

In this episode, our conversation spins around how crucial it is for every woman to have a sisterhood they can rely on. We go through some examples of how our own sisterhood saved us several times in the last year and a half to deal with isolation, losing our jobs, and even dealing with the pandemic itself. We also talk about the importance of sisterhood to be in peace with who we are and how we look, sound, or dress.

Tune in to episode 2 of Women Real & Raw, and discover the infinite potential of sisterhood.

In This Episode, You Will Learn:

  • Why sisterhoods are so crucial in women's lives (1:24)
  • How our sisterhood helped Tiffany deal with losing her job (3:46)
  • The unique type of feedback only a sisterhood can provide (6:07)
  • You have to put on your mask first before helping others. Why it is common to see women competing against other women (10:12)
  • Learning to enjoy bragging and not feeling we are showing off (18:47)

We Don't Need to Get a Power Suit; We're Born in It

18m · Published 19 Oct 04:00

Growing up, they teach us that we can be either strong, powerful, and assertive, or soft and super feminine, but never both. Still, the moment we show up confident or recklessly outspoken, we are automatically labeled as a bitch. We are on a mission, among many other things, to dispel that myth; we CAN be both if we want to.

Although, if someone still wants to call us a bitch, it's okay; we couldn't care less.

Today, we set the foundation for what is going to be a fun ride. We want you to have fun, learn, laugh, experience joy, and get valuable advice about who you want to be and who you are, ignoring what people expect you to be or look like.

This show is about recognizing who you are, stand in your feminine power, and own it. After going through and surviving extreme sickness, knocking at death's door, we came back as completely different people, we have a different perspective on things, and we want to share all that and more in this podcast.

So, if you are in for real and raw conversations about what it means to be a woman, how to own and love who we are, buckle up and tune in to the first episode of Women Real & Raw.

In This Episode, You Will Learn:

  • Who is Tiffany Lee, the Truth-Teller (1:16)
  • Turn your camera on. There are lots of things leaders should be aware of (5:03)
  • Who is Kristin Sparks, and where the whole idea of the podcast came from (5:53)
  • How going through delicate health issues helped us own who we are (8:39)
  • The power of owning who we are (12:41)
