Both law enforcement and government officials are warning that there are groups of outside agitators that are pushing the protests towards violence. There are also reports that left-wing activist groups are the ones supplying protestors with funding and direction to operate the protests. Revisiting a campaign promise this week, President Biden announced that he would have his administration review federal marijuana restrictions, potentially reclassifying it as a Schedule III substance. After weeks of anti-Israel protests, many are still ongoing across college campuses, despite universities warning of consequences for the illicit acts of disorder. Protesters at Columbia University in New York City were threatened with suspension if they did not clear out their encampments by a given deadline.
