This week we get back into the story of what’s happening to the Nephites and Lamanites in the Book of Mormon. This week we are learning about pride. Before he died, Nephi gave his younger brother Jacob the plates. Jacob became the prophet over the people. After Nephi died, some of the people started being prideful and committing sins. The Lord commanded Jacob to meet everyone at the temple and tell the people to repent. Children will come away knowing: I can strengthen my faith in Jesus Christ. Jacob’s faith in Christ was so strong it could not be shaken. I can help others in need when I share with them. Some of the people in Jacob’s time were very rich, but they didn’t want to share what they had with others.
