Taking Charge Of Your Health - Where To Start?

40m · Empowered Conversations Podcast · 22 Nov 18:00

Dr Josephine Braid uniquely combines her passion for physical rehabilitation medicine and functional medicine. She is a strong advocate for health education and empowerment, and works closely with a health coach to maximise her patients' health outcomes.
Whilst historically doctor-patient relationships have been one of imbalance when it comes to knowledge and power,  times are changing and this old model is quickly becoming outdated. Patients need to take charge of their own health by educating themselves, asking questions, challenging information that doesn’t feel right- because they have the right to do so. It’s time we started taking taking responsibility and charge of our health.
I’m grateful to Dr Josephine Braid for sharing insights in this Empowered Conversation about how we can start to become more empowered agents of change when it comes to our health. Knowing where to start can be overwhelming. Dr Braid shares simple proven tips when it comes taking charge of our health. It is often what is overlooked that can help us the most.
