#18 – Jordan Daly and Liam Stevenson, Founders of Tie
Jordan and Liam believe that education plays an important and key role in addressing homophobia, biphobia and transphobia in schools. I agree with them, I think the earlier you talk about these topics, the better you can prevent discrimination and its challenges.
In this episode, Jordan and Liam tell us about their impactful work with teachers and young people to achieve their educative mission. On top of that, they share how to understand the impact words and language used can have on other people. You'd be surprised how we (people) commonly use some offensive words... I left this conversation much more mindful of that and forever grateful to Jordan and Liam for coming to Fair Tales to teach us how to be more inclusive and respectful.

Angie plays a significant role in supporting African women, refugees and asylum seekers. Angie helps them with the challenges they face and tackles barriers to access to information. She had experienced these barriers herself and founded Sharpen Her to help others going through this challenge of settling in the UK.
Angie is an amazing woman who changes lives, helps communities and impacts globally. There is a lot to learn in this episode about resilience, humanity and fighting for equality for all.
