S3E4 - [CRYPTIDS #1] - The Terror of 18th Century France: Zeitguys Ep 31

Imagine you're a peasant in a rural area of France circa mid-1700s, you've heard rumors of a terrible beast roaming the countryside. Some of your neighbors have gone missing. Even worse, some have been found. Pieces of them, at least. You know not to be out after dark, but tonight time got away from you. The sun is setting behind the green rolling hills as you rush back to your home. You see it just ahead. 400 paces. 300 paces. 200 paces. You hear breathing, something large is there in the darkness. It sounds close, so close you almost feel the warm air on your neck. You quicken your pace. 100 paces. 50 paces. A terrible growl bellows from the night. You reach for the door.

You go no further. You never make it past the doorstep. Another victim in the string of gruesome killings by the Beast of Gévaudan.
