Barbara Ryan lives in New York City. She started her corporate career working on Wall Street. In the late seventies. It's interesting to hear her talk about how much has evolved (and unfortunately how much has not) when it comes to ambitious females navigating their career trajectory over the last 4 decades in one of the worlds most cutthroat economies.
Barbara witnessed first-hand how little support women had in certain male-dominated industries. This inspired her to start the Fabulous Pharma Females group which is now chock full of CEOs and woman leaders in the pharma industry.
The group works to give women an opportunity to connect with each other and create a strong community of women with a shared commitment to one another.
In this episode of Miss Bossy Boots, Barbara candidly shares so much insight into how she managed to build a successful career as a senior leadership executive and working mum and how she now encourages females to lift each other up to help each other succeed.
