She has published over 100 articles with more than 1+million views in Crunch Base, The Data-Driven Investor, Face2Face Africa, Blavity, and Future of Ghana publications, and has been featured in Forbes with the Harambe Alliance. Her debut book, Should I Return, is a number #1 Amazon new release in African Literature.

Building Techs New Legacy ft Aminka Belvitt

In today's episode, I chat with  Aminka Belvitt, Aminka Belvitt was born in Wakefield, Jamaica, and raised in Kitchener, Ontario. She is a former Canadian Parliamentary Member’s Assistant turned digital marketing consultant, innovator, advocate, mentor, and speaker. She studied Public Administration & Political Science at the University of Ottawa then Public Policy & Public Affairs at the School of Community Policy and Public Affairs Concordia University followed by a Marketing Analytics, Campaigns & Engagement professional development certificate from Columbia Business School. Her career started in Canadian politics and expanded into the not-for-profit sector working for organizations like The Heart & Stroke Foundation and Montreal Institute for Genocide & Human Rights Studies before entering the corporate sector, in the field of Social Media Marketing. In 2015 she entered the tech industry working for a local tech start-up in Montreal, as the Marketing & Business Manager. In her role she contributed to the duties of IT project management, ensuring the delivery of project objectives and deadlines. Having this opportunity to manage tech projects sparked her interest in advancing opportunities for women within the tech industry. This led her to create her own tech start-up, Wofemtech; and A NEW REALITY: Tech Summit for Girls, in addition, to expand programs offered by her organization, The ForUsGirls Foundation. The Accidental Entrepreneur Ft Aisha Addo

She founded Power To Girls Foundation, a non-profit organization to offer young girls the mentors and role models that were absent during her own youth. As a facilitator and director of Power To Girls, she uses her personal experiences and knowledge to create safe and engaging spaces for the girls she works with. She is the recipient of the Young Black and Gifted Award for Community Service and was also named a Black Diversity Group Role Model and One of 100 Black Women to Watch in Canada and among the 150 Black Women making history in Toronto.  DriveHER, the ride-sharing service for women by women, is her latest initiative and the next step in my journey to continue to empower and protect women.

In today's episode, I chat with  Ebony Butler, a Ph.D. Licensed Psychologist and Food Relationship Strategist who has made it her mission to help women of color heal and thrive in the areas of trauma and diet recovery. Dr. Ebony specializes in guiding women to develop skills that increase their effectiveness in interpersonal interactions, including communication and asking for/getting what they want and need. Aligning with her passion to break through barriers that make it difficult for Black people and other people of color to access quality mental health care, Dr. Ebony created the first-ever self-exploration card deck for Black women and other women of color.
